NFIB Alabama endorses 17 for Legislature

NFIB Alabama endorses 17 for Legislature

The Alabama association representing small businesses this week endorsed 17 candidates for the Alabama Senate and House.

“It’s essential that we elect leaders who understand the challenges facing Alabama’s small businesses,” National Federation of Independent Businesses State Director Rosemary Elebash said in a written statement.

“Main Street is facing a host of challenges right now, from the worst inflation in decades to the ongoing lack of qualified job candidates,” Elebash said. “These candidates have shown us they understand the issues and will strive to create and maintain an environment where small businesses can grow and create jobs.”

All of those endorsed are Republicans and first-time candidates. Many are running for open seats, but a few have taken on incumbents. Some have contested November elections.

The NFIB Alabama PAC’s endorsements are based on the candidates’ voting records or answers to a candidate questionnaire.
